The Visalia Montessori School Parents Association (VMPSA)

VMSPA supports VMS programs that we would not be able to realize through tuition dollars alone. Support from our families and from the community is essential to our success. Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each odd-numbered month at 6:30 pm at Visalia Montessori School

VMS Community

The Visalia Montessori Parents Association (VMSPA) is a vital part of maintaining and developing the success of VMS. Our Parents Association helps create programs and activities that benefit our children and school. VMSPA provides resources through workshops, social media, brochures, and other communication channels. The Parents Association also hosts events and organizes fundraisers to better provide our school with teacher training, classroom materials, scholarships, field trips, and school construction.

VMSPA Goals for this year:
-Instructor education
-Classroom materials
-Diverse projects (school beautification, student scholarships, field trips
-Playground construction

We encourage our parents to be involved in their child’s learning environment and community. The VMSPA offers opportunity to bring parents, staff, and students together to help achieve the best possible education and quality of life for our children. Visalia Montessori School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Any and all donations are always appreciated and welcomed.

Fundraisers Are For:

Teacher Training and Professional Development Scholarships

Each year that VMS adds a classroom for the first five years, VMS will need to train at least one teacher. The quality of each teacher’s Montessori training is critical to the success of our school. We also enrich our exceptional teachers by providing access to conferences, workshops and educational speakers.

Classroom Materials and Technology

Enhance educational opportunities at VMS by providing students access to a full assortment of developmentally appropriate Montessori materials and technology in each classroom. The VMSPA will assist in purchasing materials and technology for students.

Student, Teacher, Parent and Community Projects

The possibilities are endless. Support student, teacher, and school-wide projects that further the school mission and enhance the learning environment for VMS students. Possibilities include a school garden, field trips, and work with adults in assisted living communities.

Tuition Assistance

Build support for increasing accessibility of Montessori education in the Central Valley. Tuition assistance is a need of many families who wish to send their children to a quality elementary Montessori school.
