Position Requirements:

Head Teacher/Teacher Intern:

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic people. We are looking for teachers that want to be life long learners. Who have a lot of passion for improving others. Must be flexible, loving, and able to actively serve as a role model for children. Minimum requirements include the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Montessori training for the age intended to teach from an accredited (MACTE) Montessori teacher training center with certification within one (1) year of employment at VMS
  • At least three (3) years working with elementary-aged children
  • Desire to work as part of a collaborative team
  • Multi-tasking, flexible, loving

Assistant Teacher:

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic people. The Assistant Teacher will work directly with children, helping them to set goals, solve problems, and learn to be independent leaders in the classroom. Must be flexible, loving, and able to actively serve as a role model for children. Minimum requirements include the following:
  • High school diploma
  • At least three (3) years working with elementary-aged children
  • Interest in Montessori education, willing to learn
  • Desire to work as part of a collaborative team
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Spanish language skills a plus
  • Current authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening including criminal background check
